Energy efficiency at Hide-a-lite's warehouse
After supplying the market with high quality lighting for many years, Hide-a-lite has finally upgraded our own warehouse in Bankeryd – well, as they say, the shoemaker's children always go barefoot. The old T8 luminaire is now a thing of the past and our energy-efficient Indline IP23 creates a much lighter, more energy-efficient and sustainable work environment.
Just outside Jönköping, in Bankeryd, is Hide-a-lite’s head office, with warehouse and production space totalling 2,500 m². The previous T8 luminaires have been replaced with our modern and energy-efficient Indline IP23, an industrial luminaire that not only delivers superior light quality but also offers a lifetime of a massive 100,000 hours.
The 206 fluorescent tube luminaires have been reduced to only 66 Indline XLs and 37 Indline XXLs. In spite of having fewer luminaires, these give a better light than before. Philip Kihlström of Eltjänst Vätterbygden, who was responsible for the installation, comments:
– “There were significantly fewer luminaires used, good features in those Indline IP23s.”
He also describes how the light quality and distribution have been considerably improved:
– “We were there on Friday and checked on the half of the premises that had been changed to Indline and the half where the old T8s were still there. It was surprising how much better it was with the new ones.”

When it comes to the advantages of using LED technology compared to the old fluorescent tubes, Philip points out both energy efficiency and simplicity:
– “It is more efficient when it comes to consumption and you have the flexibility of not having to use the old stuff.”
He warmly recommends Indline IP23 to other companies:
– “Quick to install, easy to understand, easy to handle, good output, quality for the money.”
With this upgrade, Hide-a-lite’s warehouse is now well planned and evenly lit by multiple Indline IP23 luminaires fitted onto luminaire rails. This means not only an improved light environment but also minimum maintenance for many years to come. And the upgrade will result in energy savings of as much as 59% over the next 25 years. Hide-a-lite’s warehouse is now better prepared for the future than ever.
With strategically placed push-in terminals on both sides of the luminaire, existing cables can be reused, which makes installation considerably easier.
