To meet the hall's high standards and diverse needs, a flexible and energy-efficient lighting solution from Hide-a-lite has been installed—lighting that is as modern and dynamic as Vinnarhallen itself.
Impressive Brightness and Energy Efficiency
By replacing approximately 400 fluorescent tube luminaires fixtures with 250 Hide-a-lite luminaires, the hall now boasts powerful and uniform lighting that creates a wow effect. At the same time, the solution delivers significant energy savings. The installed DALI-controlled lighting, featuring Indline Sport IP23 XL and XXL, is specifically designed for sports environments, providing an asymmetrical light distribution that optimizes illumination in large spaces like sports halls. The result is both energy-efficient and visually impressive.
Simple Installation and Thoughtful Solutions
The installation team describes the project as both smooth and well-planned. "It was easy to work with and enjoyable. Quick connectors on both ends made the job much easier," says Altan Baran, the lead electrician for the project. Hide-a-lite's design of the Indline Sport IP23 allowed the fixtures to be installed and connected directly through the end caps without needing to open them. This saved time and minimized the risk of errors.
Thanks to the thoughtful design and meticulous planning, the entire project—including cable replacements and adjustments to the artificial turf tiles—was completed in just 1.5 months. When Hide-a-lite's sales representatives Christian Törqvist and Erik Rahm visited Vinnarhallen to see the finished result alongside Altan, they expressed their excitement about the new lighting environment. “It’s amazing to see how well it turned out!” they remarked, emphasizing how the energy-efficient solution truly enhances the lighting experience.
Lighting That Can Be Activated in Sections
The new lighting solution also offers high flexibility. For smaller groups, individual sections of the hall can be illuminated, such as specific rows of fixtures. For larger events, the entire hall can be lit to create a bright and uniform lighting experience. The ability to control the lighting in sections allows the hall to adapt seamlessly to both small gatherings and large events with several hundred participants.

By optimizing the number of fixtures to 250 carefully selected units, Vinnarhallen now boasts a lighting system that is both energy-efficient and sustainable. Today, the hall is not just a space for performance and inspiration but also a striking example of sustainable and efficient energy use—a brightly lit future.
